Trump Makes a Deal With Putin—Zelenskyy Fires Back

Thank You for Standing With Ukraine

President Donald Trump announces a major agreement with Vladimir Putin to bring Russian diesel fuel into American and global markets—and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy delivers a sharp warning about rewarding Russia while its war against Ukraine continues.

Trump says Russia will supply hundreds of thousands of tons of diesel immediately, with additional deliveries planned. The U.S. Treasury has also authorized Russian diesel transactions through April 7, 2027. Greg Terry examines the potential financial benefit for Moscow, the implications for Ukraine's strikes on Russian refineries, and Mike Waltz's defense of the administration's decision. Zelenskyy warns that gifts to Putin will not bring peace and that weakening sanctions without real de-escalation sends a dangerous signal.

Meanwhile, European officials are pressing Spain and Greece to provide Patriot PAC-2 interceptor missiles to Ukraine. In Montenegro, authorities detain and order the expulsion of Mikhail Zvinchuk, founder of the pro-Russian Rybar Telegram network. His own account of the detention and deportation raises further questions about Russian influence and European security.

Greg connects these developments to a larger question: Can Ukraine rely on Western partners when decisions meant to ease economic pressure may also benefit Russia's war machine? From Washington's diesel agreement to Europe's air defense decisions and Moscow's reaction, this is a consequential day for Ukraine's diplomatic and military struggle.
