Putin Talks Peace—But 8-Day Kyiv Blitz May Keep Trump’s Envoys Away
I examine Russia’s eighth straight day of attacks on Kyiv, Ukraine’s pressure on Moscow aviation, and whether Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner will follow a Moscow visit with travel to Kyiv.
I also assess Germany’s planned production of 5,000 long-range drones for Ukraine, suspected Russian sabotage and drone incidents in Germany, the expansion of Russia’s Alabuga Shahed/Geran drone factory, and the stalled Graham-Blumenthal Russia sanctions bill in the U.S. House. The strategic question is whether Russia’s pressure campaign will meet clear consequences—or expose weakness across the coalition supporting Ukraine.
