توی این ویدیو به سراغ کشور پاکستان رفتیم؛ یکی از عجیب‌ترین و پر از تضادترین کشورهای دنیاست، کشوری که انگار هر چیزی که فکرش رو بکنید، یک گوشه‌اش پیدا می‌شه. از بمب هسته‌ای و ارتش قدرتمند گرفته تا فقر گسترده و مردمی که برای ساختن یک زندگی بهتر با مشکلات زیادی روبه‌رو هستن.
پاکستان یک کشور اسلامیه که جامعه‌ای سنتی و تا حد زیادی محافظه‌کار داره؛ کشوری که در بعضی مناطق، طالبان پاکستان مانع تحصیل دختران شده و زنان و دختران با محدودیت‌ها و مشکلات اجتماعی زیادی روبه‌رو هستن. در کنار همه این‌ها، داستان افراد ترنسجندر، فقر، مهاجرت، فریلنسری، تولید اسلحه و مسیر قاچاق مواد مخدر هم بخش‌هایی از چهره کمتر دیده‌شده این کشور رو تشکیل می‌دن.
اما پاکستان فقط تاریکی و مشکلات نیست. طبیعت فوق‌العاده‌ای مثل K2 و دره هانزا، غذاهای معروف و خوش‌طعم، فرهنگ مهمان‌نوازی و شهری مثل سیالکوت که بخش بزرگی از توپ‌های فوتبال دست‌دوز جهان رو تولید میکنه، بخش دیگه‌ای از این کشور رو نشون می‌دن. در این ویدیو سعی کردیم پاکستان رو از زوایای مختلف ببینیم؛ کشوری که شاید بهترین توصیف برایش، «کشور تضادها» باشه.
In this video, we take a look at Pakistan — one of the world’s most fascinating and contradictory countries, where it seems like almost everything you can imagine exists somewhere within its borders. A country with nuclear weapons and a powerful military, yet also home to widespread poverty and millions of people struggling to build a better life.
Pakistan is an Islamic country with a traditional and largely conservative society. In some areas, the Pakistani Taliban have prevented girls from attending school, while women and girls continue to face serious social challenges and restrictions. At the same time, the stories of transgender people, poverty, migration, freelancing, weapons production, and drug trafficking reveal some of the lesser-known sides of this country.
But Pakistan is not only about problems and hardship. It is also home to incredible natural landscapes such as K2 and Hunza Valley, famous and flavorful food, a strong culture of hospitality, and cities like Sialkot, which produces a large share of the world’s hand-stitched footballs. In this video, we explore Pakistan from different angles — a country that might best be described as a “country of contrasts.”
