Iranian proxies have announced a blockade against Saudi Arabia in the Bab-El Mendeb, while simultaneously conducting an attack on a large oil tanker within the Strait of Hormuz. Largely it appears that the Islamic Republic of Iran is now aiming for multiple different angles (invasion of Iraq/ Kuwait - Houthi Blockade) to try and build any pressure possible to make the US give up on the current war. Meanwhile US forces have been striking missiles forces inside of Iran and bombarding the coastline. The names of 2 US deceased service members has been released, including Private Gonzales and 1st Lt. Freehan of the US Army Air Defenses. Meanwhile Ukrainian forces have conducted another drone attack on Moscow, while damaged ships from the Azov sea attacks pile up in ports all around the area. Air defenses forces have been hit in Crimea, and Ukraine is still working towards a possible replacement for Oleksandr Syrski.

Recently, a Ukrainian raid proved far more successful than simply winning ground, setting a domino effect in motion that beheaded a crucial section of the Russian frontline and left several gaps wide open. It all began when Ukrainian operators attacked and cleared a Russian strongpoint in the forest of the Li-man direction. Ukrainian soldiers can be seen wearing ghillie suits to blend into the forest, helping them avoid detection by Russian soldiers and reconnaissance drones simultaneously while they are moving forward. Modern ghillie suits are also tailored to dampen heat signature, which further reduces the possibility of being detected by thermal drones. After stealthily moving through thick vegetation, the Ukrainian soldiers reached the Russian strongpoint, as the poor trash discipline evident from the visible empty cans they left all over the position had revealed the Russian presence. As the Ukrainian operators pushed deeper, they quickly came into contact with two Russian soldiers in the next dugout. After a fierce firefight broke out, the Ukrainians killed the Russian infiltrators and pushed deeper to fully clear the position. Ukrainians took off jackets and gear so they could go through the intelligence from cover, instead of out in the open. They captured documents, maps, and radios that the Russians had on them. This kind of captured intelligence and sensitive equipment is extremely valuable, as Ukrainians use this to tap into Russian communications and listen in on commanders revealing key information.

After tapping into the Russian communications, the Ukrainians were able to track down the commander of Russia’s thirty sixth Motor Rifle Regiment. They followed the exact movements of the commander, mapped out his routine, and patiently waited until he was exposed. The ideal moment to strike came while he was completely vulnerable and exposed on the road, as there is no option to quickly hide or run away, with cars often driving over one hundred kilometers per hour on damaged roads to reduce travel time and minimize exposure to Ukrainian observation. However, this did not save him this time, as a Ukrainian kamikaze drone closed in on the commander's car and hit it over eighty-seven kilometers behind the front line near the settlement of Dmitrivka. As a result of the successful Ukrainian drone strike, the newly appointed regiment commander was heavily wounded, and three of his staff travelling with him sustained injuries as well and were out of commission, effectively beheading the entire Russian regiment with a single drone.

This is crucial because now this Russian regiment has lost its commander and his entire entourage, leaving its command without an immediate replacement. By wounding the commander's second, third, and fourth replacements as well, it will be hard to reinstate the command of the regiment and find other subordinates who can do their duty. This is particularly damaging because Russian command remains highly centralized and junior officers generally have limited freedom to make decisions without approval from higher headquarters, effectively paralyzing the full regiment. That paralysis quickly spreads beyond the headquarters itself because this regiment is currently responsible for advancing through the forests toward Lyman, with multiple assault groups relying on the headquarters to coordinate their movements and direct artillery, drone, and aviation support. Once that command structure is disrupted, communications begin breaking down, assault groups lose coordination, and supporting fires become delayed or unavailable. Because modern frontlines are tightly interconnected, the neighboring units depend on each other to secure their flanks. If one regiment suddenly becomes static because its leadership has been removed, the formations on either side become exposed. They must either divert forces to cover the growing gap or continue advancing while risking encirclement. This creates exactly the opportunity Ukraine is looking for because now, Ukrainian forces can exploit these weak points, maneuver through the emerging gaps, outflank neighboring Russian units, and threaten their rear. In this way, the elimination of a single regiment commander can trigger a chain reaction across the sector, disrupting the Russian offensive and potentially undoing months of hard-fought progress, or at the least massively delaying their efforts.

Overall, this operation demonstrates that Ukraine is increasingly targeting the Russian military's decision-making rather than just its frontline positions. By combining intelligence gathered during a small infantry raid with precision drone strikes, Ukrainian forces can paralyze entire formations at minimal cost...

Putin is now preparing mass mobilization through Russia with the military conducting exercises to see how they would process, feed, arm, and deploy mass numbers of conscripts when they are drafted into the Russian Army. Ukrainian drone attacks have continued overnight, hitting the largest Ozon warehouse in Russia at Orenburg, and also attacking Russian airfields in Krasnodar and Crimea, destroying a Mig-29 and an SU-33. Ukrainian drones also targeted the Plastesk Cosmodrome in northern Russia, striking a facility used to launch military satellites for Russia. Meanwhile Russia is believed to be preparing more hybrid warfare on NATO in the near future, while withdrawing their ambassador from the UK. In the Middle East US officials believe Israel is trying to draw Turkey into a war against them which could "start World War 3," while 2 Chinese oil tankers passed through the Strait overnight.

Iranian forces have been annihilated on the Island of Qeshm after overwhelming US strikes conducted on the Iranian coast only hours ago. The governor of Qeshm has reported 11 separate explosions in the island; all on military bases and targets. CENTCOM is targeting large numbers of forces along the entire coast of Hormuz, with reports that a senior level commander of Iranian air defenses was taken out last night. Iran has slammed Kuwait with several impacts of missiles around the Ali Al-Salem airbase in Kuwait. In Crimea the people are begging the Russian government for help as the northern part of Crimea is now descending into lawlessness after supplies of most types have run out for over a week. The situation has only deteriorated further as ships are no longer allowed into the Azov sea, and another large rail ferry in Kerch was hit and damaged again last night. Ukrainian drone attacks are still ongoing against Russian forces and critical infrastructure as well.

We have to increase pressure or reduce expectations

So it looks like we’re back at war with Iran. Or maybe more specifically, we’re in a war over the Strait of Hormuz. In just the past few days the US has struck around 300 targets and Iran has fired as many as 500 drones and missiles at US and allied locations in the region. Pretty clear the sole focus right now is the Strait of Hormuz. These strikes didn’t pick back up because of the Iranian nuclear program, their ballistic missile program or their support for proxies. It is because Iran exerted control over the key waterway.
