In this update, I break down what happened, why Ukraine’s current long-range operations are not yet the promised retaliation, and why the continuing shortage of Patriot interceptors remains so dangerous.
We also look at a major new threat from North Korea: the KN-30 heavy ballistic missile, which Ukrainian defense intelligence reports can carry a warhead of up to 2.5 tons and reach roughly 900 kilometers. Ukraine’s war is moving on several fronts at once. In this update, we go inside Russia to examine footage from Moscow showing a long fuel line on one side of the road and a burning Wildberries warehouse on the other — then use the visible GPS coordinates and street imagery to verify the location.
We then turn to Mykhailo Fedorov’s major interview and his warning about what it may take to force Russia to end this war. Fedorov says Ukraine will have its own ballistic missile and gives a three-to-six-month estimate for when one could strike a target inside Russia. That comes as Ukraine continues debating key government appointments and protesters keep demanding Fedorov’s return.
And in Zaporizhia, we see another brutal reality of civilian life near the front: a minibus fitted with anti-drone cage protection to survive Russian FPV attacks. Shortly before recording, a new image arrived showing that same minibus destroyed. At the time of this video, information about possible injuries had not been confirmed. Vladimir Putin used a bizarre killer-whale-and-polar-bear analogy while speaking to students—and then connected that “food chain” directly to Russia’s war against Ukraine. But Putin’s rhetoric is only one part of a much larger warning emerging from Russia and Eastern Europe.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk says the next seven to eight months could be critical for Ukraine, Poland, and the entire region. He warns that Russia appears to be preparing for escalation and cites assessments that Moscow may seek to mobilize another 600,000 soldiers. At the same time, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov says there are no grounds for improved relations with NATO or the European Union and accuses Europe of mobilizing its military potential against Russia.
We also examine the devastating explosion near Kyiv that killed 37 people. President Zelenskyy acknowledged that a major ammunition storage facility was located where it “definitely should not have been” and promised a full investigation.
