Remarkable Battlefield Footage Today
I examine a night in which Ukrainian drone operations reportedly disrupted Moscow and St. Petersburg air traffic, with temporary restrictions affecting at least 22 Russian airports, while Ukraine struck targets tied to Russian rail, missile-brigade logistics, and Robo-Avia drone production in Rostov. Nearly 400 Moscow flights were reportedly delayed or canceled, illustrating how drone threats are bringing the war’s consequences deeper into Russia.
I also assess Russia’s large-scale barrage against Ukraine’s energy system, which Zelensky said hit more than 15 energy sites with 320 drones and missiles. The episode raises an acute strategic contrast: Ukraine is pursuing military logistics and industrial targets, while Russia continues targeting power, water, industry, and civilian areas ahead of winter. I cover reported Ukrainian gains during Operation Vivaldi north of Lyman, FPV strikes on Russian armor and Mi-28 helicopters, and attacks along the Mariupol–Dzhankoy highway—evidence that low-cost drones can threaten rear-area movement hundreds of kilometers from the front.
